Lucknow: One and apparently the only person responsible for the successful launch of Lucknow Metro in record time - the 'Metro Man' himself, E Sreedharan, was completely sidelined by the ministers who were busy inaugurating the flagship project on Tuesday.

Several state and Central ministers, including the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Governor Ram Naik, were so much into the event to claim the credit for Lucknow Metro, that they forgot to even ask Sreedharan to stand by their side while pushing the start button of the Lucknow Metro.

There was rush of ministers to share the dais with the CM and become evidence of the grand inaugural ceremony. Among the ministers present were - Keshav Prasad, Dinesh Sharma, Brijesh Pathak, Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Ashutosh Tandon.

The state and the Centre are now facing the flak of people after a photo of the event is doing the rounds on social media websites.

The photo shows E Sreedharan standing in queue much behind CM Adityanath, Rajnath Singh, Governor Ram Naik and several other ministers who were busy giving green signal to metro rail on Tuesday.

It may be mentioned that Lucknow Metro has been a project in which all works were completed well before the deadline and the public money was utilised completely.

The feat would not have been possible without the untiring efforts of principal advisor of the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC), E Sreedharan and his team of efficient officials.

Aware of the fact, it has now become indigestible for people to see Sreedharan neglected on the inaugural day of Lucknow Metro.
