Who sneaked into IAS Whatsapp group to cause a flutter ???
Lucknow: A highly-objectionable message by an 'outsider' on Whatsapp group of the officers had almost ruined the Uttar Pradesh IAS week till the issue was buried by them but not before a probe was launched as to how the 'intrusion' into the elite group could take place.
Actually a message was posted in one of two existing IAS officers Whatsapp groups, content of which was about one lady officer and a senior journalist. As soon as it came into circulation, the objections were raised by the members who were informed -- to their utter shock -- that the person, having Delhi number, who posted the message, did not belong to IAS and it was intriguing how could he sneak into the group.
Since the matter was derogatory for a lady officer and was rightly hushed up by the IAS members but a complaint had been lodged in this connection even as the identity of the person is yet to be ascertained. Moreover, it came up during the IAS week so the officers did not want to spoil their festive mood by raking up this mundane matter.
Bhuvnesh Kumar, the senior and secretary of UP IAS Association, when contacted by newztrack.com, feigned ignorance about the entire issue but said that the message was dropped in one of two Whatsapp groups, Admin of which was Zuhair Bin Saghir, the District Magistrate of Moradabad.
Admitting, the message was posted in the group, Saghir told newztrack.com that the person was immediately removed from the group, however, it was subject to probe how he could get into the group which belonged to Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers only.
