Uttar Pradesh cabinet okays proposal to slash CNG prices

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to discuss several key proposals including the state's transfer policy and Gorakhpur Metro Project, on Tuesday, in the third meeting of the Uttar Pradesh cabinet.

According to the internal sources, "the government may give its consent to kick off Metro project in Gorakhpur in today's meeting and may also consider proposal of state’s transfer policy, bringing a change in the district and divisional serving terms of the officials.

The UP currently has a single transfer policy, where a government official serving more than six years in a district is transferred while it applies for the same if an employee is serving more than ten years in a division. The new transfer policy may reduce the district term to 5 years while divisional term could be fixed to 7 years.

Apart from these major changes, few other developmental projects could be discussed in the meeting.
