UP CM's name not finalised yet, Swearing-in ceremony on Sunday
Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party may not have decided upon the final name of the new Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister but it has been confirmed that the the swearing-in ceremony of the new CM and his cabinet ministers will take place at 1700 hours on Sunday.
According to the party sources Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah are also expected to attend the oath ceremony to be held at Smriti Upwan in the state capital which would be administered by Governor Ram Naik.
It is worth mentioning that the BJP has still not announced the name of the next CM of the state. The newly-elected 312 BJP MLAs are expected to meet on Saturday and elect their legislature party leader.
The names of probables for the top post doing the rounds in political circles include Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Telecom and railways Manoj Sinha, and state BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya.
The telecom minister, however, has denied all speculations regarding him being given the responsibility.
