UP CM releases novel Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke penned by senior IAS

Lucknow: 'It was too soft a novel from a strict officer.' This was what Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was to say about senior IAS officer Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma while releasing ‘Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke’, the Hindi version of his already famous novel—‘Love Side By Side.

“The first thing that came to my mind was what type of novel can a strict officer write but the book took me to a new world,” said Akhilesh.

The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Samajwadi Party MP from Kannuaj Dimple Yadav and noted Urdu poet Waseem Barelvi. The book has been penned down by top notch UP Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer ,presently secretary to UP CM, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma and is translated to Hindi by Shweta Bhatt.

About ‘Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke’:

The book revolved around a middle class youth Pankaj whose dream shattered when his love went abroad for further studies, The book gives a glimpse of India in the 90’s but also demonstrated why sometimes the failure of a well laid-out plan can be the best thing to happen in life.
