SP suspends party MLA Abid Raza for anti-party activities

Lucknow: The ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday suspended a sitting party MLA Abid Raza for anti-party activities.

The decision to suspend MLA of Badaun assembly constituency was taken by state party president and UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on recommendation of district SP unit. party sources said.

Anti-party activities:

The district executive of SP on August 6 last, had found him indulged in the anti-party activities.

Allegations:

Fatma Raza, wife of Abid Raza, had earlier expressed life threat from party MP Dharmendra Yadav.

Fatma is the chairperson of Badaun Nagar Palika.

What she said:

  • Effigies of my husband are being burnt in the city.
  • Criminals roam near my house.
  • Police and district officials are not picking our calls.
