'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' goes tax-free in UP, Akshay thanks Yogi

Lucknow: In an attempt to encourage the Swachh Bharat drive, the Uttar Pradesh has announced Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ to go tax free in the state.

The announcement was made by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at an event organised in the capital city regarding the cleanliness—also attended by Akshay along with the lead actress of the film Bhumi Pednekar—on Friday.

The ‘Khiladi Kumar’ of Bollywood too shared the news of his arrival and thanked the UP CM stating that he whole ‘Toilet…’ team was honoured to be the part of the cleanliness drive in the city.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is based on the need for toilets for sanitation in the country and this message is conveyed via love story.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha stars Bhumi Pednekar opposite Akshay Kumar. The flick also features Anupam Kher and Sana Khan. The film is scheduled for release on August 11.
