Mumbai: Tiger, a retired police dog and the hero of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack passed away.

Tiger was laid to rest in a farmhouse he was living in post-retirement on Sunday. The male sniffer dog was suffering from lung infection.

Tiger, the Labrador was attached to the bomb detection dog squad at Goregaon unit of Mumbai police.

Now, Caesar another Labrador is the only sniffer dog of the 26/11 Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team left in the farm.

Tiger was given a dignified burial in the Virar farms itself and the funeral was performed with full state honour which was attended by other police dogs.

It is to recall that ten Pakistani terrorists on 26 November, 2008, entered Mumbai from the Arabian sea and went on a carnage killing and injuring a total of 466 people.
