Guwahati: The Bhartiya Janata Party officially became the official part of the Arunachal government on Friday after the induction of senior party legislator Tamiyo Taga in the in the council of ministers.

The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor V Shanmuganathan in the presence of AP Chief Minister Pema Khandu and other cabinet ministers at the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhawan.

Taga would be looking after the Industries, Textiles and Handicrafts and cooperation ministries which were under the cabinet minister Tapang Taloh earlier.

CM Khandu after the ceremony said that it was the part of the system. “One has to be dropped to accommodate other. There is nothing new to it,” he stated.
