Lucknow: Taking cognisance of media reports, the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday urged Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to help a Russian lady sitting on dharna in Agra district.

The Russian lady, who is a mother of a child, is seeking her husband’s share in the property from her in-laws after being denied entry into the home situated in Indrapuri locality of the city.

Olga Efimenkova and her husband Vikrant Singh Chandel lived in Goa with their young son before shifting their base to Agra after their business ran into losses.

Nirmala, her mother-in-law, said that she had given Rs 11 lakh to Vikrant and share of the property to her daughter who has been estranged by her husband.
