Question: Who is your inspiration?

Artika: Dr Kalam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I am highly inspired from them.

Question: Who helped you?

Artika: My brother Utsav Shukla, who is also an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 2012 batch, helped me a lot in preparing for the examination.

Question: How did you prepare?

Artika: There is no shortcut to success. One needs to be very determined and focus to achieve the target. Though, I am a doctor but I was very passionate to become an IAS officer after my brother became so.

I took one year leave from PGI Chandigarh and started preparing for the examination.

Question: How was your interview?

Artika: Since I belong to Varanasi, which is also the parliamentary constituency of our PM Modi, the interviewer asked me the changes after he represented our city.

I told them about the cleanliness and developmental works being done in the city.

He is among one of the best leaders India has got. I am looking forward to take his blessings and work like him.

Artika is pursuing Post Graduate degree of medicine in pediatrics. Her father is also a pediatrician.
