Storms and thunder-showers claim seven lives in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: At least seven persons were killed and several others were injured owing to heavy storms and thunder-showers in parts of Uttar Pradesh.
The weather on Monday left the farmers bothered, having a widespread impact on the crops, especially mangoes.
A teenager was killed and three people were injured, including two women, by lightning strike in Lakimpur Kheri district of the state.
Rail and road traffic were thrown out of gear and people were caught unaware by the sudden change of weather. Traffic jams caused by uprooted trees on highways were also reported from many parts of the state.
