Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday accepted that some of his party leaders and workers were busy in land grabbing which is creating a bad image of the party.

“I know where some of my party workers are busy these days. Media should also write about them as such people are damaging the image of Samajwadi Party,” Singh said at a press conference on ninth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar.

The statement of Mulayam Singh Yadav was made in the context of expulsion of SP leader Vijay Bahadur, who was sacked from the party after he was found to be involved in land grabbing cases on Thursday last.

It may be mentioned that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will make land grabbing the party's election agenda and has also given an email-id to the people to get their land freed.

Remembers Chandrasheker:

“Chandrashekhar was the first socialists Prime Minister of India and he had taken up farmers' and poors' causes and fought for them. till the last breath,” Mulayam said.
