Sitapur: In a sensational case of triple murder, a family including a woman was shot dead during an alleged robbery attempt by a gang of assailants here on Tuesday.

The incident happened in the civil line area which is one among the posh locations in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased have been identified as Sunil Jaiswal (60), his wife Kamini (55) and son Hrithik (25).

A gang of five persons gun down a pulse trader, his wife and son at around 9.30 pm on Tuesday.

Eye witnesses say that UP Dial 100 was informed soon after the incident but police took an hour to reach the crime spot.

Angry locals alleged that when the crime was taking place they had stopped two police constables and sought help but they refused, saying the area was not under their jurisdiction.
