Mumbai: Launching a scathing attack on BJP, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday said that alliance with the saffron brigade from past 25 years was a complete waste of time for his party.

In an interview to party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, the Sena chief, however, maintained that his party would never backstab its ally but would definitely come out of the merger, the moment it feels being overlooked.

What else Uddhav said?

  • We (Shiv Sena) completed 50 years of our establishment in last June
  • Half the time, which mans 25 years, we were in alliance with BJP
  • Certain things went against our merger including the breaking up of alliance in previous assembly elections
  • I feel that we have wasted all these 25 years

Never made baseless allegations:

  • Shiv Sena has never made baseless allegations against the government
  • My party has even not made any personal comments against anyone in the government
