Rape Video : Agra Police conducts massive raids, 35 detained

Agra: Police comes out from deep slumber after media reported about the sale of ‘rape’ and ‘porn’ videos in open market under the nose of administration. Raids were conducted at cyber cafes and various shops across eight districts of the Agra Zone and 35 people have been detained on Wednesday.

• 31 cases have been registered till now
• Police have not found any ‘rape video’ on sale
• Pornographic content are on sale in the market
• Raids would be conducted at eight districts under the Agra Zone
• Cyber Cell have been placed on duty in Agra

Raids conducted in Behraich:

• Police launched a massive hunt at CD shops near Omkar Talkies
• Two people have been detained for quizzing
• Porn CDs are on sale at Rs 25 to Rs 30 in the market

Police take cognizance of reports in media:

• Media reported about the sale of rape videos in shops in Agra
• Videos are from 30 seconds to 5 minutes long
• Cost of the video vary in between Rs 100 to Rs 150
• Few shopkeepers directly store the videos in customer’s memory cards or pen drives
