New Delhi: An FIR has been lodged against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Harak Singh Rawat in connection with the rape allegations on him.

The FIR in this connection was been registered at Safdarjung police staion in Delhi on Friday night.

Earlier in February 2014, an FIR was registered against Rawat for allegedly molesting a 30-year-old woman in New Delhi.

The woman, who hails from Meerut, had had submitted a written complaint at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station alleging Rawat that he had molested her at a house in South Delhi’s Green Park area in September 2013.

Rawat joined BJP along with eight other Congress rebels this year before the Uttarakhand crisis.
