Rajnath tables high-level meeting in violence-stricken Kashmir

Srinagar: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level security meeting in Jammu and Kashmir capital of Srinagar to review the situation in the hilly state of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, senior bureaucrats, top officials of police, para-military forces, central agencies were present in the high-profile meeting.

Kashmir is facing protest after the encounter killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani. About 44 people have lost their lives during the same.

Meanwhile, the curfew has been lifted in four of the ten districts of J&K.

Rajnath was scheduled to visit Anantnag district before leaving for New Delhi in the evening.
