PVVNL turns the table, company earned profit last fiscal

Meerut: Turning the table, the Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, has earned profit for the first time during 2015-16 due to a record collection of revenue.

Managing director of the company Abhishek Prakash on Sunday told newztrack.com that the net revenue collection last year was to the tune of Rs 11773.25 crores.

This marks a difference of Rs 1524. 15 crores between the revenue collections during 2014-15 and the last financial year. In percentage terms the collection was 14.78 per cent higher.

Rate of the electrity:

The company has sold the electricity at Rs 4.41 per unit in the last fiscal which was 12.78 per cent higher than the rate of electricity in 2014-15.

Energy supply

The energy supplied last year was of the order of 26690.03 MU while the electricity supplied in 2014-15 was 26204.52 MU. In percentage terms it was 1.85 percent higher.

The company had taken several measures to cut down the line loss including power theft. The result was encouraging.
