Lucknow: Taking note of recent complaints of arbitrary fee hike by private schools, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a review meeting of the state Education Department on Monday night, directed officials to make policy to put a check over the same.

Basic Education secretary Ajay Singh, after review meeting, said UP CM is very much concerned about the education and future of students.

Yogi Adityanath was also given a presentation of the ongoing schemes in the department.

“It is the major aim of the department to provide quality education and working in this direction has remained the top priority ofus,” said Ajay Singh.

Ajay Singh said the department is giving much focus on the prevention of arbitrary fees of private schools. UP CM has sought a report from the authorities in this regard.

State government has given a time of 100 days to improve the functioning of the department. It has to fulfil the basic objectives of the department through existing schemes.
