Pravir replaces Raman, appointed as chairman of 3 authorities
Lucknow/Noida: Following a rap from the Allahabad High Court, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday removed Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Rama Raman from the post of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Authorities’ chairman. Raman has been replaced by 1982 batch IAS officer Pravir Kumar.
Earlier, the court was disgruntled by Raman’s continuance in the posts for the last six years and it had questioned whether the state government could not find someone better to replace him. It may be mentioned that Raman was appointed to the post by the Mayawati government in 2010.
- Prior to this, Kumar was the Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC).
- Pradeep Bhatnagar has been appointed as the new APC, replacing Kumar.
