Porsche car rams into auto-rickshaws, killing one person
An auto-rickshaw driver, Arumugam, was killed on the spot and many other drivers were injured in the wee hours on Monday when the Porsche car rammed into at least 12 rickshaws which were parked on side roads near Cathedral.
Chennai: An auto-rickshaw driver, Arumugam, was killed on the spot and many other drivers were injured in the wee hours on Monday when the Porsche car rammed into at least 12 rickshaws which were parked on side roads near Cathedral.
The car was driven by a 22-year-old law student, Vikas Vijayanand who was allegedly drunk and had lost control . The car was completely damaged.
According to the police," Vikas has been arrested and the investigation is underway."
- Vikas was identified a a professional racer.
- He was also in the news for winning the MRF Formula 1600 category race.
- Vikas's father is a lawyer practising in a High Court.
