NewzBreak: Now get British Visa in Lucknow
Lucknow: As a major facility to Non Resident Indians (NRIs) and their families starting this month , the UK-bound people can apply British Visa in Lucknow also.
The sustained efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government in this regard paid dividends as the British High Commission had agreed to open the UK Visa Application Centre (VAC) at Lucknow, the former advisor to UP NRI department and member of legislative council (MLC ) Madhukar Jetley told newztrack.com.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will inaugurate this centre some time in May, Jetley adds.
The UK VAC will allow customers to apply for visas in all categories and they can use this service for a fee of GBP 84.99 (INR 8499) on top of the visa fee. The user pay fee includes courier service to return documents.
Madhukar Jetley said that this service will currently be available on the third Tuesday of every month from 09:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs. The applicants have to fill the form, book appointment(for Lucknow) and pay online. Guidance for documents is also available on the website depending upon the visa type. The details are available at
