Tanzil case: Three taken in custody, enmity behind murder
Bijnor: The special task force (STF) unit of Uttar Pradesh police have taken three youth in custody in connection with the murder of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) officer Tanzil Ahmad on Wednesday.
The team have also seized a motorcycle from their possession and are interrogating them, sources said.
"Personal enmity seems to be the reason behind the murder. However, we are interrogating the arrested persons to ascertain the motive and those behind the killing," said a team member.
- Tanzil Ahmad was part of probing team in the Pathankot terror attack case. He was sprayed with bullets while he was returning from a marriage ceremony.
- The NIA had sought a report from the Uttar Pradesh government over this issue.
