Lucknow: Giving blessing to his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav said that he is assure of win in the assembly polls.

"Akhilesh Yadav will be the next UP CM," stated Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The SP patriarch also tried to convince that everything was fine in the Samajwadi clan and he has no issues with the alliance. Yadav said that he would start campaigning for the SP and Congress from February 7.

"Everything is OK in our family. I will start campaigning for party from tomorrow," MSY said.

“They are our ally so why would not I do it. I will be actively participating in the rallies from February 7,” the former SP chief had said when asked that will he campaign for SP and Congress.

It may be recalled that few days earlier the SP patriarch had gone public with his deep resentment at the SP-Congress alliance but on Wednesday last he was heard stating that he will give his blessings to the assembly candidates of both the parties. When asked that would he be blessing the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and all assembly candidates of Samajwadi Party and Congress, Yadav said, ‘Han Bilkul Kyun Nahi’ (Yes, Why not?).

“He is my son after all,” Mulayam Singh Yadav had stated.
