Mulayam Singh responsible for downfall of Samajwadi Party: Uma Bharti
Azamgarh: Taking a pot shot at the Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Union Minister Uma Bharti on Thursday said that he himself is responsible for downfall of his party.
Speaking at an election rally in Azamgarh, Uma Bharti said that Mulayam made holes in the Samajwadi Party's ship, which is now led by his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Uma Bharti also slammed Congress by saying that the former government at the Centre gave birth to terrorism in the country.
She said that people in Uttar Pradesh are smarter than Akhilesh Yadav and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and they know which government will take the state on the progressive path.
Hitting out at the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati, Uma Bharti said, "Behenji (Mayawati) is Mr. India. She remained nowehere in the scene before Centre's demonetisation move but after that, she looked to be the most troubled person."
On a question of her aspiration to become the CM of UP, Bharti said that she was not at all hungry for the CM's chair and rather, she would sacrifice it for the sake of the people and party.
