Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday suspended BSP Uttar Pradesh MLAs Romi Sahni and Brijesh Verma.

Both have alleged Mayawati of selling party tickets and opposed the use of abusive language regarding expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dayashankar Singh’s daughter.

The decision regarding MLAs suspension came after a meeting at the party’s headquarter in Lucknow. The meeting was attended by Mayawati and senior BSP leaders.

The whole matter-

  • Both suspended MLAs held a press conference on Wednesday.
  • Duo has alleged that they were asked to pay Rs 4 crore to contest from BSP seat in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming elections.
  • They accepted that leaders are working under tremendous pressure and live under constant fear of Mayawati.
