Fatehpur: The firebrand Samajwadi Party (SP) minister Mohammad Azam Khan has termed the former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Swami Prasad Maurya as an ‘asset’. to the party.
“Maurya is a good man and he will be an ‘asset’ for the Samajwadi Party” Azam said in Hathgava village after the Roza Iftar party on Thursday night.
In reply to a media query over the merger of Mukhtar Ansari’a Qaumi Ekta Dal into Samajwadi Party, the senior minister said it was the decision of party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and he stands by the decision.
