Mass stabbing in central London kills one; six injured

London: A man has been arrested on Wednesday for stabbing several people in the centre of London at around 10.30 PM (Local Time). One woman reportedly has been killed while six others are left injured in mass stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that incident took place at Russell Square near the British Museum in central London.

The police statement said, "Terrorism is one possibility being explored at this stage."

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the area to avoid any further incident.
