Lucknow, The 68th death anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was observed with due solemnity in entire Uttar Pradesh.

A two-minute silence in memory of Mahatma Gandhi was observed at 1100 hours in the entire state which was later followed by Bhajans on Saturday.

The natives of the state capital paid their tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding his statue at the Gandhi Pratima sthal in the Hazaratganj area of the city.

The Martyr's day was not just observed in Public places by political parties and groups but it was also observed in Educational institutes and Public enterprises.
