Manipur: 2 security personnel died, 6 injured in ambush

Imphal: At least two security personnel were succumbed to bullets while six others sustained serious injuries in an ambush attack by terrorists at Lokchao village in Chandel District of Manipur on Thursday morning.

The mishap took place at 6:30 am when a team of Manipuri police team was heading towards Tengnougpal district for a programme of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh.

Heavy firing exchanged between the security forces and terrorists. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. No terrorist group has taken the responsibility of the attack yet. The area has been put on high alert.
