Lucknow Varsity Provost Sheila Mishra vacates hostel in night

Lucknow: Lucknow University Vice-Chancellor S B Nimse had to personally persuade the Provost Sheila Mishra to vacate her hostel residence at Kailash hostel.

The hostel staff along with few girls celebrated by distributing sweets and playing colours as soon she left the hostel, said hostel sources.

The condition was totally under control, Nishi Pandey, Chief Proctor of LU, said.

Committee formed to probe:

A three member Executive Council (EC) has also been formed on Wednesday night. The committee comprises of Kumkum Kishor, Nirupama Agarwal and is headed by Abha Awasthi.

The committee will also probe the authenticity of anonymous complaint letters, video footage and photographs, which were given to Pandey by the girls as an evidence.

The video clip showed Shiela Mishra’s son playing Holi with the girls in Kailash hostel.

The late night drama:

The girls hostellers sat outside the main gate of hostel in support of Mishra and said that all the allegation made against the provost were false. Senior officials of LU and police rushed to the spot after getting the information.
