Jammu: Four pilgrims were killed in a landslide near the Ardhkunwari temple near Katra of Jammu and Kashmir while on their way to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, police said.

“A big stone rolled down the hills resulting in the death of four pilgrims. Seven others sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to the hospital,” local authorities said.

The deceased were yet to be identified, they added.

Three out of seven injured have been identified as Abay, Surjeet Barman and Rajiv Singh. They were being treated at the community health centre (CHC) in Katra.
