Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Rakesh passes away

City of Brussels: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Rakesh on Saturday passed away following multiple organ failure in Belgium. He was being treated for acute pancreatitis at Antwerp University Hospital in City of Brussels. He was 39.

According to unconfirmed reports, Rakesh and few of his friends were in the country to attend Tomorrowland, one of the world’s biggest annual electronic music festivals.

As the festival ended, Rakesh complained of severe stomach ache and was put on ventilator in the city hospital he was rushed to.

Other highlights:

  • Last year in November, Rakesh underwent treatment for pancreatic and liver issues.
  • CM Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi and their younger Yathindra are currently in Belgium.
