Jawaharbagh violence: UP CM orders immediate arrest

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Friday ordered immediate arrests of the accused involved in killing two police officers in the Jawaharbagh evacuation operation in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister shared this information from his official twitter account:

मथुरा घटना के दोषियों की तत्काल गिरफ्तारी एवं उनके खिलाफ सख्त से सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी: #UPCM @yadavakhilesh @UPGovt

Meanwhile, Principal Secretary, Home Debashish Panda and Director General of Police (DGP) Javeed Ahmad have reached the spot.

Agra Divisional Commissioner, Pradeep Bhatnagar, is probing the sporadic violence.

It may be mentioned that at leat 21 people including two policemen were killed in the firing resorted by the protestors in Jawaharbagh of Mathura on Thursday last.
