New industrial and investment policies will soon be brought in UP: Yogi Adityanath
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to bring a new industrial investment policy in the state in order to give a boom to the industrial growth here.
The government has green signalled certain amendments in the industrial investment policy of the state to woo investors and develop new industries in UP. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Thursday that these amendments will soon be introduced in the policy.
The Chief Minister was addressing the officers on the occasion of the presentation of establishment and industrial development department in Shastri Bhawan. A number of UP Cabinet members and senior officials also marked their presence in the presentation.
He said that problems of entrepreneurs and work expansion will be settled on priority. The Chief Minister also talked about the proposal to streamline the single window system in the industrial sector and to restart sick industries.
The CM said that for the establishment of industries land acquisition from farmers should be done with their consent, so that they will not face any obstacle later.
His focus was on the process of making the system simpler and transparent. "In order to avoid the increase in cost of projects, all works should be completed on time," said CM Adityanath. The UP CM also asked the Chief Secretary to make industry captive to the district level.
Emphasis on transport
He stressed on the establishment of manufacturing cluster in the backward areas, with emphasis on providing basic amenities and expanding of highways and expressways.
He also asked for early decision on the establishment of the airport in Agra and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Yogi directed officials to complete the work of the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor and the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
UP CM asked officials to look after the difficulties of Industrial Development Ltd Noida, major projects of Greater Noida authority, Trans City Ganga Unnao, Saraswati High Tech City Allahabad, Theme Park Agra and Mega Food Park Bahedi.
The Chief Minister also discussed over re-starting the State Spinning Company, Textile Corporation, State Yarn Company and Co-operative Katai Mill
