Drass (Kargil): Claiming Pakistan’s role in providing mileage to the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army on Tuesday said that more infiltration could be witnessed in the coming days in valley via LoC.

Paying honour to the martyrs of Operation Vijay on the 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas at the War Memorial, General Officer Commanding in Chief (GoC-in-C), Northern Command, Lt Gen D S Hooda said that Pakistan is interfering in Kashmir and has direct role in the proxy war.

When Hooda was asked about Pakistan’s role in the Kashmir unrest, he said-

  • We have seen Pakistan providing support to infiltrating groups.
  • We have seen how ceasefire violations have been used as a support to the people infiltrating into this side.
  • If there is an internal disturbance here, they will directly take advantage of it.
  • You have heard the statements of Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba, trying to say that they are supporting whatever is happening in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, on Kargil Vijay Diwas, another attempt of infiltration failed as Indian Army killed four terrorists, nabbing one near the LoC. The terrorists were well equipped with weapons.
