Lucknow: In a shocking revelation, the picture, which portrayed a house on sale and went viral on social media, was actually fake and the property was never on sale.

The house owner had refuted that his house was for sale and complained the matter to the district magistrate of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh.

“My house is neither on sale nor I have ever written, ‘Yeh Makaan Bikau Hai’ on its walls,” said the house owner Gaurav Jain.

“My family has never faced any kind of harassment as claimed by some Bhartiya Janata Party members. In fact, we were never terrified by anyone. The information that ran rife was all fabricated and seemed to be part of a hidden controversy. I was informed about the matter when I read a newspaper the other day,” added Jain.

What the officers say:

District magistrate of Shamli Sujeet Kumar confirmed to newztrack.com of receiving the complaint letter and the due probe was on.
