Two high intensity bombs found in PM’s constituency Varanasi

Varanasi: Two high intensity bombs were found in the collectorate premises on Saturday ahead of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's visit in parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, here.

The bombs were found in a bag at gate number one near the room of entertainment department.

POLICESenior police officials along with the bomb disposal squad reached the spot and diffused the bombs, According to the district magistrate, Rajmani Yadav.,

It is being said that the intensity of bomb was very high and it could have caused a major damage.

Earlier, on November 23, 2007 last two serial bomb blasts had occurred which had claimed more than 30 lives in the same city.

The collectorate premises was evacuated, said president of Central Bar Association Vivek Shankar Tiwari.

What DGP says?

The Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), Javeed Ahmad, told newztrack.com that these bombs were without detonators which indicated that there was no organized gang involved behind this. But as a precautionary measure alert has been sounded and bomb disposal squad had been deputed at vulnerable places and also at the places where blasts had taken place earlier.

What SSP says?

Senior Superintendent of Police Akash Kulahari said that the bombs were not alive. Disposal squad was, however, called for investigation.
