Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, on Wednesday, stated that it will enter into 'Power for all' agreement, with the Centre to provide electricity in the state at the minimum possible cost.

UP Minister of Power Srikant Sharma said that the Uttar Pradesh government has pledged to provide electricity to every household and that too at the cheapest price. "For the sake of the betterment of the state, the government will enter into an agreement with the Centre on April 14," Sharma stated.

Holding Samajwadi Party government responsible for not being able to fulfill the basic necessities of the state residents, Sharma said that the the days are gone when areas were divided into VIP and VVIP. He assured that the basic necessities of each household will be fulfilled by the BJP. There is no such area as VIP and VVIP. We believe in Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas (overall development).

What else he said:

  • The government's foremost priority is to keep a check of electricity theft in the state.
  • Closed sugar mills will soon be re-opened.
  • CM Yogi Adityanath and other responsible government authorities of national highway project have met the NHAI to assure a speedy work.
  • Many projects of previous government have been delayed which would be given a re-start with full speed.
