Good News !! Lucknow traffic police to reintroduce Green Cards

Lucknow: In a good news for all two-wheeler motorists, the Lucknow traffic police is all set to reintroduce the ‘Green card’ scheme again.

The Green card will help the motorists to present it to the traffic sleuths during the checking and presenting the driving license or the papers of vehicle will not be necessary.

A facebook post of the official account of Lucknow traffic police mentioned that the decision to reintroduce these cards is likely to be taken in the wake of inconvenience being caused to the motorists in carrying the documents.

The post also cleared the contract for making Green cards will not be given to private agencies like earlier and this time it will be made by the traffic police itself.

The card will be valid till insurance date:

• The issued Green Card will be valid till the last date of the vehicle insurance.
• “The date on which the card has been issued does not matter, it will have the validity only till your vehicle insurance is valid,” told a traffic police official.

An attempt for the convenience of resident:

• MP Singh, Superintendent of Police for Traffic confirmed the news and also said, “the card is being prepared for the convenience of the state residents.
• “We are also trying to make this card valid in other cities of UIttar Pradesh. The Noida police web site will contain all the data related to the card holder and the details of the card holder can be traced within a click," stated SP Traffic.
