Eight CRPF men including five from UP killed in Kashmir attack
Srinagar: A bus carrying Central Reserve Police Force troops was attacked by two LeT 'fidayeen' terrorists near Pampore town in Srinagar killing eight CRPF jawans and injuring 22 others. Five out of eight CRPF troopers martyred are from Uttar Pradesh. The two Lashkar militants also were gunned down, officials said.
Eight CRPF men killed include
- Rajesh Kumar from Allahabad
- Veer Singh from Firozabad
- KK Yadav from Unnao
- Sanjay Kumar Singh from Jaunpur
- Satish Chand from Meerut
- Jagtaar Singh from Punjab
- G Jaychandran from Trivandrum
- Santosh Saav from Aurangabad in Bihar
- All men Injured have been rushed to army's 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar
Weapons recovered from killed terrorists
- A massive hunt was launched by the army personnel soon after the attack on CRBF bus
- Two AK-47 Rifles, 11 Magazine, 6 Hand Grenade and ammunition were recovered
What happed?
- Two LeT terrorists were travelling in a private car
- They got down in front of the CRPF bus
- Terrorists started shooting and later tried to enter the bus
- CRPF came in action and killed both of them
