Lucknow: A complaint seeking a First Information Report (FIR) against Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav was on Wednesday lodged at the Hazratganj (Lucknow) police station for allegedly admitting that he had ordered the police to fire at the ‘kar sevaks’ during Ayodhya’s Ram temple movement.

One Raees Khan has sought a case against the SP chief for his alleged admission of the guilt. Khan, who is the Awadh prant convenor in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)–backed Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), has claimed that he submitted a CD of Mulayam’s remark in this regard to the police. It may be mentioned that the statement was made by the SP chief during an event in the state capital on August 27 last.

Other highlights:

  • Khan along with other MRM members reached Hazratganj police station on Wednesday afternoon.
  • According to Khan, he handed over his application as well as the CD to a sub-inspector as the Station House Office (SHO) was unavailable at the police station during his visit.
