Expelled BJP leader Dayashankar arrested from Buxar, Bihar

Buxar: Expelled Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dayashankar Singh was on Friday arrested from Buxar of Bihar.

Earlier, a non-bail-able warrant (NBW) was issued on against Singh in connection with the ‘Prostitute’ remark made by him against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo. Singh, hails from Buxar.

He was arrested in a joint operation by Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and Bihar police. The UP police was trying to locate him for over a week after an arrest warrant was issued against him following his expulsion for six years from the BJP.

Singh was photographed praying at a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Deogarh in Jharkhand on Saturday.

"Law will take its own course," BJP state general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak.

His wife Swati Singh told newztrack.com that the family has faith in court and they will get justice while she will continue her fight against the derogatory remarks made during BSP protest on July 20 last.
