Eight killed in a tragic road accident in Kanpur Dehat

Kanpur Dehat: Eight persons were killed in a road accident on national highway-2 around 70 kms away from the district headquarters in small hours on Sunday

The accident occurred when a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction hit the car near Akbarpur. The ill fated car was returning from a Tilak ceremony, said superintendent of police (SP) Pushpanjali Singh.

Seven of the deceased were been identified as Kalyan Singh, Maan Singh, Surendra Singh, Rahul, Shivani, Sunny and Kanchan. One Radha had sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
