UP Polls: Raj Babbar takes responsibility of the loss, offers resignation
New Delhi: Taking the responsibility of the upsetting defeat of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, party state chief Raj Babbar on Wednesday has offered his resignation.
Congress had managed to win just seven out of 403 seats in UP.
Defending Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, Babbar said former left no stone unturned during campaigning.
“You cannot blame the party leadership for losses in one or two elections. Leadership makes team, which failed in UP,” Raj Babbar said.
