Lucknow: Congress has released the first list containing the names of 41 candidates for the first and the second phase of the coming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2017.

The list has been released after a formal announcement of alliance between Congress and Samajwadi Party was made on Sunday during a joint press conference by SP state president Naresh Uttam and UPCC general secretary Raj Babbar.

Uttar Pradesh will go for polls in seven phases from February 11 and the results will be declared on March 11.
