UP | BSP leader Rajesh Yadav shot dead in Allahabad

Allahabad: In a sensational incident, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Rajesh Yadav has been shot dead by unknown assailants at Colonelganj area here on Tuesday.

Rajesh was shot at when he was with his doctor friend Mukul Singh at the Tarachand Hostel of the Allahabad University.

BSP leader was rushed to Raj Nursing Home where he succumbed to his injuries. Police has sent his body for the postmortem.

The university students as well as BSP workers took to the streets to protest the murder.

Police was forced to resort to lathicharging the protesters they blocked the roads and even torched few vehicles.

Rajesh Kumar Yadav had contested the last Vidhan Sabha elections from the Jaunpur seat of Bhadohi district.
