Black Money helped India ride over global recession: UP CM

Lucknow: In a rather strange and controversial statement, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday, quoting economists, said it was black money which helped Indian economy to ride over the global recession.

He, however, hastened to add that he is personally against the black money.

“My part is clear on Black Money that it should not be generated but as per the economic experts it was the strong economy of Black Money which saved India from global economic crisis,” said UP CM after flagging off India-Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Car Rally in Lucknow.

What else Akhilesh said?

  • Modi government left common people in dismay.
  • Public rejected those, who had generated problems for poor.
  • The issue of Black Money could not be solved by scrapping Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes.

Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had shot off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi informing him regarding the chaotic situation in banks causing law and order problems in the state and also demanded the PM to extend the validity of Rs. 500 currency notes till November 30.
