Lucknow: Hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters on Saturday hit streets demanding immediate arrest of senior BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui as part of their state wide ‘Beti Ke Samman Mein Bhajpa Maidan Me’ protest.

The supporters of the saffron party were protesting against the derogatory remarks made during the BSP protest on Thursday last, against the female family members of expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh.

Chanting slogans of ‘Beti Ka Apmaan Band Karo-Band Karo’ and ‘Naseemuddin Ko Giraftaar Karo’, BJP supporters in large number under the leadership of city president Mukesh Sharma, submitted a memorandum to the district magistrate demanding to arrest Siddiqui on the basis of media photography and video footage.

The supporters have also submitted the same memorandum to Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik.

It may be mentioned that deprecatory remarks were made against the female members of former BJP leader Dayashanker Singh in retaliation to his ‘Prostitute’ comment made on blue brigade chief Mayawati.
